Winemaking and ageing
Selective picking from the most valuable plots of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Fetească Neagră, vines around 40 years old, vinified plot by plot.
Two rounds of hand sorting, gentle crushing, maceration at 26–27 °C. At least 12 months in Romanian oak, 85% new. The best barrels make the blend: Cabernet Sauvignon 70%, Merlot 20%, Fetească Neagră 10%. At least 30 months in bottle.
