Romania
At 45° north, on the same parallel as Bordeaux and Piedmont.
Dealu Mare
The sub-Carpathian hills between Prahova and Buzău, facing south and sheltered by the Curvature Carpathians.
Ceptura
The heart of Dealu Mare. The map opens into the hillside, seen from a drone.
The DAVINO plots
Every plot has its own record: soil, altitude, aspect, grapes and the wines it gives. Tap a plot.
Plot data is illustrative and will be completed with the DAVINO team.

Soil
On the western slopes, clay rich in iron oxides, suited to red wines. On the eastern slopes, light Sarmatian limestone that favours aromatic wines. Our soils are highly varied, and simplified cultivation avoids invasive mechanical work wherever possible.

Climate
Temperate continental, with cold winters and warm summers. The sub-Carpathian hills shelter the vines from cold winds, while warm Mediterranean air flows in from the south and south-west along the foothills.

Light and water
Exceptional heliothermal values for vines: global solar radiation above 120–130 kcal/cm², around 2,150–2,200 hours of sunshine a year and a sum of mean daily temperatures above 4,000 degrees. Around 600 mm of rain a year.
